Continuing in our campaign to try every pizza on the plush menu, our last visit featured the Aztec (mozzarella, a mild chilli mix containing mixed beans, red onion and capsicum, sliced roma tomato and a sprinkle of cheddar. Garnished with and slices of fresh avocado) and the Potato Swoon, which tasted like eating potato gems on a pizza (something to which I am not adverse...).
The Aztec was very delicious. I'm finding that I'm really enjoying pizzas with mushy, heavy, saucy toppings. This had a little tiny bit of spice, and the avocado went on afterwards, giving a cold contrast to the spicy beans. Really good! Definitely a competitor for the top pizza.
The potato was good as well, I hadn't envisaged something like potato gems (rather than potato slices), so that was cool.

The Potato Swoon looks a bit like the religious mosaics I saw today in Florence! Is it terrible of me that I prefer this edible potato kind to the non-edible Jesus kind..?
Glad you tried the Aztec and that it was a winner - I've been hanging out for you to get around to that one. I'm enjoying this vicariously pizza-eating-living!
Well, I think I've tried just about everything on the Plush menu now! Is there anything I've missed that you want me to try on your behalf? I'm going again in about thirteen hours...
that aztec pizza looks yummy! i am always looking for more ingredients to try on my homemade pizza. i never thought about putting some sort of chili concoction or even potatoes which is a shame!
im sooo jealous... I will NEVER go to hawthorn.... because its over there and I dnt have a car...
Carla, we never drive there, we always catch the train! It's not too bad, only nine minutes from Flinders to Hawthorn Station! And totally worth it!
